The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Associate Director to join our Business Tax Advisory team.

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse portfolio of high-profile corporate clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services while building long-term trusted relationships. You will play a key role in driving quality, identifying planning opportunities, leading technical assignments, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and strengthening client relationships with large, listed, and international corporate businesses.

• Overseeing the delivery of high-quality compliance services, while identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting specialist technical projects.

• Managing a portfolio of clients, offering expert tax advice and acting as a key point of contact.

• Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients and ensuring tax matters are handled accurately and efficiently.

• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements across all aspects of clients’ tax affairs.

• Reviewing and overseeing corporation tax computations, including tax accounting and deferred tax disclosures for statutory accounts.

• Leading and project managing advisory assignments, working closely with partners and directors to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

• Supporting business development initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand services both within tax and across the wider firm.

• Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members, helping to build capability and future talent within the team.

Our Business Tax Advisory team provides a broad and specialist range of services covering:

• Corporation tax compliance

• Tax accounting

• Advisory and strategic tax matters

We partner with a varied client base that includes large corporates, international groups, and listed businesses, delivering practical and commercially focused solutions to complex tax challenges.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong mix of technical expertise, client management experience, and leadership capability.

We are looking for someone who has:

• ACA and/or CTA qualification, or an equivalent professional qualification.

• Proven experience in a corporate tax environment.

• Strong technical expertise in UK corporation tax.

• Experience managing a client portfolio and dealing directly with clients in a confident and professional manner.

• A track record of identifying business development opportunities, ideally both within tax and across other service lines.

• Experience coaching and developing junior colleagues.

• A collaborative working style with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
