About the Opportunity

Our Regional Capital Allowances team delivers specialist tax support to help businesses identify, secure, and maximise capital allowances on qualifying expenditure. The team combines technical excellence with commercial insight to ensure compliance while unlocking valuable cash tax savings for clients.

Working closely with both clients and internal teams, you will contribute tailored advice across a wide range of sectors and complex claim areas, helping organisations make the most of available reliefs while building trusted long-term relationships.


What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting clients with specialist capital allowances and land remediation matters, while also helping to strengthen and grow the firm’s offering.

  • Provide expert advice on Capital Allowances and Land Remediation legislation

  • Manage a substantial client portfolio effectively and profitably

  • Handle complex tax matters with confidence and technical accuracy

  • Build strong client relationships, including direct engagement with senior management teams

  • Work collaboratively with senior managers, directors, and partners across BDO

  • Lead and manage projects from planning through to delivery

  • Support and develop team members through effective staff management

  • Identify new business opportunities, both with prospective clients and existing accounts

  • Enhance service delivery by spotting opportunities to improve processes and expand client solutions


What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a proactive, commercially aware professional who is comfortable taking ownership of their work while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Deep and current knowledge of Capital Allowances and Land Remediation legislation

  • Specialist technical expertise with the ability to resolve complex tax issues

  • Proven project management experience

  • Experience managing and developing staff

  • Strong portfolio management skills with a focus on profitability and client service

  • Business development capability, including winning new clients and expanding existing relationships

  • Confidence working directly with senior client stakeholders

Desirable Qualifications

  • ATT or CTA qualification is advantageous

  • RICS qualification is beneficial, but not essential
