What You Can Expect
This is a role that offers both breadth and depth. Tax is a fast-moving area, and at BDO you will work across a diverse client base, gaining valuable experience while building your expertise in a dynamic environment.
In this role, you will:
Provide tax advisory and compliance services to a broad range of clients
Work with varied businesses, from start-ups and scale-ups to private companies and FTSE-listed multinationals
Build strong client relationships through a deep understanding of their commercial needs
Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and offer additional value to clients
Collaborate with senior colleagues, including Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners
Contribute to complex and high-value tax projects
Use shared service resources and technology tools to deliver work effectively and efficiently
Key Responsibilities
You will play an important role in delivering excellent client service while also contributing to team development and business performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders
Managing a substantial client portfolio, including:
client onboarding and engagement
billing management
improving recoveries
supporting cash collection
Delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory work
Monitoring and managing risk in line with the firm’s quality control procedures
Escalating issues appropriately where risks are identified
Leading large and/or complex assignments and projects
Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior team members
Supporting performance development, including counselling, appraisal, and staff motivation
Helping to create a strong team culture focused on learning and continuous improvement
