The Opportunity

We are looking for a Corporate Tax Associate to join our Hull office, becoming part of a high-performing team that delivers both tax compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients.

You will work with dynamic and growing businesses across a wide range of sectors, including:

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Corporate Tax Associate, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent service to clients while contributing to the success of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality corporation tax compliance work for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

  • Prepare and review:

  • Corporation tax computations

  • Tax accounting provisions

  • Tax filings and payment-related queries

  • Support advisory work by collaborating with specialist colleagues on a broad range of tax matters, including:

  • Loss relief

  • Interest restriction and relief

  • Transfer pricing

  • R&D tax relief

  • Capital allowances

  • Group reorganisations

  • Shareholder reorganisations

  • International tax issues

  • Acquisitions and disposals

  • Manage compliance work efficiently while ensuring all client tax affairs meet statutory obligations and internal quality standards.

  • Build strong client relationships through clear communication and dependable service.

  • Continue developing your technical and professional skills to support your long-term career progression.

  • Coach and support junior team members, contributing to a culture of learning and development.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across tax and other service lines to provide joined-up, high-quality advice to clients.


What We’re Looking For

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Part-qualified in an accountancy or tax qualification such as ACA or CTA

  • Experience gained within an accountancy practice

  • Good working knowledge of corporate tax

  • Proven experience of working with clients and collaborating effectively in a team environment

  • Familiarity with specialist tax software would be an advantage
