The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Manager to play a key role in our Corporate Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong technical expertise with leadership capability and a commercial mindset.

In this role, you will take ownership of your own portfolio, contribute to the effective running of your section, and support the wider success of the group through business development, client relationship management, and team leadership.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing your own client portfolio while supporting the operational running of your section

• Contributing to workflow planning and helping to ensure work is delivered effectively and efficiently

• Identifying and generating new opportunities for the wider group

• Driving revenue and profitability targets

• Building strong, lasting client relationships

• Supporting and inspiring Azets’ people development strategy

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As Senior Manager, you will play a central role in both client delivery and team leadership. Your responsibilities will include a mix of compliance oversight, advisory support, and people management.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Overseeing a select portfolio of key corporate clients, ensuring their compliance processes are managed to a high standard

• Supporting Tax Partners in delivering tax advisory services to both existing and prospective clients

• Leading and developing the corporate tax team by:

• Listening to team members and encouraging feedback

• Conducting appraisals

• Providing coaching on assignments

• Developing technical capability and broader team knowledge

• Continuously improving the quality and delivery of work

• Developing strong relationships with clients through regular communication, assignments, and attendance at client meetings

What We’re Looking For

We are keen to hear from qualified tax professionals who thrive in a practice environment and are ready to take the next step in a senior leadership role.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• CTA / ACA / ACCA / CA qualification (or equivalent)

• Previous Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax experience in a similar practice-based role

• Exposure to clients across multiple sectors, which would be highly advantageous

• Strong technical tax knowledge, including the ability to research and interpret complex tax legislation

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• A proactive, commercial, and solutions-focused approach
