The Real Estate Tax Team

A&M Tax is an independent team of experienced professionals delivering tailored tax advice to clients and investors across a wide range of sectors. Within this practice, the Real Estate Tax team supports major real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy investors, as well as funds, developers, financial institutions, and private businesses.

The team advises on matters including:

The Opportunity

As Real Estate Director, you will play a key leadership role in advising clients on sophisticated UK and international real estate tax matters. You will work closely with investors, funds, and developers, helping them structure and execute transactions efficiently while managing risk and aligning tax strategy with commercial objectives.

This role is ideal for an accomplished tax professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong client leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Provide strategic tax advice on complex UK and international real estate matters

• Lead tax advisory work across acquisitions, disposals, refinancings, developments, and restructurings

• Oversee tax due diligence, identifying key issues, risks, and structuring opportunities

• Design and implement tax-efficient structures for holdings, financing arrangements, funds, joint ventures, and co-investments

• Act as a trusted senior advisor to clients and key stakeholders

• Manage multiple engagements and budgets, ensuring high-quality delivery, commercial effectiveness, and timely execution

• Support and develop team members, strengthening technical capability and encouraging career progression

• Contribute to business development, including proposals, presentations, and relationship expansion

• Advise on ongoing compliance and reporting obligations, proactively helping clients address tax challenges before they arise

Qualifications and Experience
