About the Opportunity

RSM UK’s Funds Tax team is expanding and offers a dynamic environment for professionals who want to take the next step in their career. The team advises a wide variety of investment funds, fund managers, and related entities across private equity, venture capital, and alternative asset classes.

As an Associate Director, you will play a central role in delivering exceptional tax advice, building trusted client relationships, and contributing to the continued success and growth of the practice. You will also work closely with senior leaders on technically challenging advisory matters while helping to guide and develop more junior team members.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will take ownership of a varied and high-profile portfolio, combining technical expertise with leadership and commercial awareness.

• Act as a trusted contact for fund clients, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships.

• Deliver tax advisory and compliance services to investment funds, fund managers, and associated structures.

• Lead complex fund tax projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and practical commercial solutions.

• Support business development activity, helping to identify and win new opportunities.

• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, encouraging high performance and professional growth.

• Collaborate across teams and service lines to provide integrated and seamless advice to clients.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced tax professional with strong technical capability, commercial judgement, and the confidence to lead both clients and teams.

• Strong UK fund tax experience, ideally gained across private equity, venture capital, and alternative asset classes.

• CTA and/or ACA qualification (or equivalent).

• Excellent technical knowledge with the ability to apply it in a practical, client-focused way.

• Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering complex advisory work.

• Strong communication, leadership, and people management skills.
