KPMG is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager to join its market-leading Indirect Tax team in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a high-profile role within a growing practice, advising a diverse client base on complex VAT and wider indirect tax matters while helping to shape the future of the team.

KPMG’s Indirect Tax practice is recognised as one of the strongest in the UK. With 20 Partners and around 200 professionals, the team advises on all areas of indirect taxation, including:
VAT
Customs Duty
Environmental Taxes
The practice supports clients across a wide variety of industries, including:
Large multinational groups
Well-known retail brands
Public sector bodies
Fast-growing mid-market businesses
Within the National Markets Indirect Tax team, specialists work across sectors such as:
Retail
Supply Chain and International Trade
Financial Services
Public Sector
Leisure and Travel
Although many professionals focus on VAT, the team also includes dedicated specialists in Trade & Customs and Environmental Taxes. This breadth creates a highly collaborative environment where expertise is shared and clients benefit from integrated, commercially focused advice.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you will play a significant role in both client delivery and the continued growth of the practice. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering high-quality indirect tax advisory services across a broad range of VAT and related indirect tax issues
Managing and strengthening client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser to corporate clients
Identifying innovative solutions that create value and address complex business challenges
Supporting and driving business development activity, including implementation of strategic growth initiatives
Providing sales support and helping develop strong B2B and B2C client relationships
Coaching and developing junior team members, supporting both their technical capability and commercial awareness
Working closely with Directors and Partners to deliver exceptional client outcomes and build your own leadership profile
