M&A Tax Manager

RSM UK is seeking a Manager to join its National Transactions Tax team, focusing on M&A tax advisory work for owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed companies, and larger corporate clients. The role sits within a growing national faculty of specialists and offers flexible office location, close collaboration with regional Transactions Tax Partners, Corporate Finance teams, and RSM’s international network. The position involves managing a broad range of M&A tax projects, including tax due diligence, transaction structuring advice before and after deals, vendor assistance, and management tax planning. The successful candidate will prepare clear technical reports, contribute to complex advisory projects across multiple sectors, and help deliver tax-efficient solutions tailored to client transactions. The role also includes a strong business development and people management element. The Manager will support strategic targeting activity, especially in the private equity market, help prepare proposals and presentations for new work, and play an active role in developing junior team members through coaching, training, and career support. RSM is looking for someone with relevant transactions tax or corporate tax experience, ideally already operating at Assistant Manager or Manager level. CTA or ATII qualification is preferred, ideally alongside ACA or ACCA. Strong client relationship skills, a collaborative mindset, and an interest in business development are important.
