The Opportunity

As a Personal Tax Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality personal tax services to a diverse client base. You will manage your own portfolio, support clients with a range of tax matters, and work closely with directors and colleagues across the business.

This role offers the chance to deepen your technical exposure while also contributing to the development of junior team members and the wider success of the tax department.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including:

• Company directors

• Property owners

• High net worth individuals

• Sole traders

• Partnerships

• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and responding to day-to-day tax queries

• Supporting directors with ad hoc advisory work

• Assisting with advice relating to:

• Capital Gains Tax

• Inheritance Tax

• Potentially a portfolio of Trusts

• Applying knowledge in specialist areas such as:

• National Insurance

• Overseas tax matters

• Farmers averaging

• Helping to train and support students

• Providing ad hoc tax guidance to the accounts team

About You

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who is ready to make a positive impact within our team.

You will ideally have:

• A formal qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA

• We are also happy to consider candidates who are qualified by experience

• Strong analytical and review skills

• A proactive mindset and the ability to take ownership of projects through to completion

• A genuine desire to learn, grow, and adapt

• Excellent communication and listening skills

• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the firm

• A high level of honesty, integrity, and professionalism

• The ability and enthusiasm to coach and develop junior team members

• A clear interest in contributing to the future growth and success of the firm
