Working collaboratively with specialists across the firm, we provide an integrated service to owner-managed businesses and family offices, drawing on expertise in accounting, audit, and tax.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Director in our London Private Client Tax team, you will combine strategic thinking with commercial awareness to manage and grow important client relationships while leading a broad range of engaging advisory projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring an excellent standard of service across a varied client portfolio, while also leading and developing a team. This includes reviewing work, supporting training and progression, contributing to workforce planning, and helping foster a positive and inclusive team culture aligned with RSM’s values.

You will also work closely with Partners and senior colleagues on technical assignments, planning work, and business development initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Build and strengthen client relationships, acting as a trusted contact for existing, prospective, and new clients.
• Identify, generate, and convert new work with the support of Directors and Partners.
• Lead advisory assignments and deliver high-quality reports on time and within budget.
• Manage a portfolio of personal tax compliance and advisory projects across a varied client base.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills and provide a consistently high standard of client service.
• Develop internal and external relationships with confidence and professionalism.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, supporting their development and progression.
• Brief junior staff on client activities and assignment requirements, while overseeing delivery and providing on-the-job guidance where needed.
• Act in the best interests of the firm in all aspects of your role.
• Maintain compliance with internal risk management procedures and professional standards.

• A genuine interest in developing others through mentoring, coaching, and day-to-day support.
• A strategic and commercial mindset, with a focus on delivering value to clients and the wider business.
