Goldman Sachs’ Private Wealth Management team works with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices and foundations, helping them preserve and grow wealth through financial planning, tailored portfolios, private banking, fiduciary and administrative services. Within this business, the Vice President, Capital Markets, UK Tax Specialist role supports product, transaction and structuring activity across Asset & Wealth Management. The position focuses on advising front-office trading, structuring and investing teams on the tax implications of transactions, fund platforms, structured products and financing initiatives. The successful candidate would help shape new product launches, improve existing offerings, and contribute to tax-efficient transaction and funding structures while preparing approval materials, models and supporting documentation. The role also involves close collaboration across legal, compliance, operations, finance and external advisers, with responsibility for operational tax matters such as SDRT, CRS, FATCA and tax reporting. It requires someone able to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment and contribute to internal tax and structuring frameworks as well as P&L support. Goldman Sachs is seeking a professionally qualified tax or legal professional, such as ACA, CTA, ACCA or a UK-qualified lawyer, with around 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in financial services or transaction tax. Strong UK tax technical knowledge, cross-border exposure, commercial judgement, analytical ability and communication skills are all important, while experience in operational taxes or fund structuring would be advantageous.
