The Opportunity
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will report to and support the tax partners and senior leadership team. You will play an active role in the preparation and supervision of U.S. income tax returns for clients operating in the asset management industry.
This role is well-suited to a tax professional who enjoys both technical work and collaborative team environments, and who is ready to take on greater responsibility within a high-performing practice.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
Prepare and review U.S. income tax returns for asset management clients
Support tax partners and senior management on client engagements and tax compliance matters
Supervise aspects of return preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Work closely with team members in a collaborative, small-team environment
Manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure
Contribute to client service excellence through attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who bring a strong foundation in U.S. tax and the ability to thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience
CPA, EA, or eligibility to sit the relevant professional exams
And/or a Master’s degree in Taxation
A minimum of 2 years of U.S. tax experience
Strong understanding of U.S. federal income tax return preparation
Experience in asset management, particularly with:
Hedge funds
Private equity funds
Skills and Attributes
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Comfortable working within a small team
Strong ability to perform under pressure
Proven capability to meet tight deadlines
Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods
Willingness to relocate to the Cayman Islands
