International Tax Manager / Senior Tax Specialist

FNZ | Edinburgh | Hybrid Working

With a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office, this position offers the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders while contributing to strategic tax initiatives across an international footprint.

The Opportunity

As part of the Group Tax team, you will take ownership of a broad range of international tax matters, with a particular focus on project work, business change, compliance oversight, and cross-border tax initiatives.

This is a role for someone who can combine technical capability with commercial judgement, bringing practical solutions to a business that is continuously evolving.


Key Responsibilities

International Tax Projects & Business Change

  • Play a leading role in major international tax projects

  • Support tax aspects of restructures, acquisitions, disposals, and market entry activity

  • Lead the implementation of Pillar Two across the group, coordinating with internal teams and external advisers across jurisdictions

  • Manage the group’s Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) process, ensuring:

  • accuracy

  • consistency

  • timely submission

  • Help the business respond effectively to developments in the international tax landscape

  • Collaborate with colleagues to explore and develop the use of technology and AI within tax

Transfer Pricing Support

  • Support the development and ongoing management of the group’s global transfer pricing policy

  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and compliance obligations across jurisdictions

  • Work closely with senior tax colleagues to maintain alignment between international tax and direct tax matters

Business Partnering & Advisory

  • Provide clear, pragmatic tax input to commercial, finance, and operational teams

  • Support projects and transactions with commercially focused tax advice

  • Engage and manage external advisers where specialist input is required

  • Operate effectively in a project-led environment with multiple competing priorities


What We’re Looking For

FNZ is seeking a qualified tax professional who brings strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and the confidence to work in a fast-paced international setting.

Essential experience and skills:

  • ACA / CA and/or CIOT qualified

  • Strong post-qualification experience in tax

  • Experience working on international tax projects

  • Exposure to Pillar Two and/or Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) is highly desirable

  • Strong technical tax knowledge, with the ability to turn complexity into clear, practical outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders

  • Adaptable, resilient, and motivated by working in a changing environment


Working Arrangement

  • Location: Edinburgh

  • Eligibility: Candidates must live within a commutable distance

  • Working pattern: Hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office
