International Tax Affairs Specialist

Generali Group Head Office is seeking a talented, proactive, and internationally minded professional to join its Group International Tax Affairs team. This position offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a global organization, supporting international tax matters across multiple jurisdictions and contributing to strategic tax initiatives at Group level.
The role reports directly to the Head of International Tax Affairs and is ideal for a candidate who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative mindset and the ability to navigate complex international environments.
About the Role
As part of the Group International Tax Affairs function, you will play a key role in monitoring international tax developments, supporting cross-border operations, and coordinating with both internal stakeholders and external advisors. You will help ensure that the Group’s tax practices remain aligned with evolving regulations, business needs, and market best practices.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of international tax activities, including:
Monitoring international tax developments at OECD, EU, and local levels, evaluating their potential impact on Group companies, and recommending appropriate actions
Providing technical tax support on:
cross-border transactions
intra-group flows
specific tax projects involving various geographical areas
Coordinating Group companies in the collection of information and documentation related to Group Tax Affairs initiatives and campaigns
Managing relationships with external tax advisors and auditors to help ensure compliance with local regulations and alignment with industry best practices
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a professional who brings a strong academic background, hands-on international tax experience, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic multinational setting.
Education & Qualifications
Degree in Economics or Law
A Master’s degree in Tax Law or an equivalent specialization is considered a strong advantage
Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus
Professional Experience
At least 5 years of experience in International Tax
Experience gained within a Big Four firm and/or in a multinational environment is highly preferred
Technical Knowledge
Solid understanding of:
Corporate taxation
International taxation
Corporate law
Accounting principles
General tax compliance
Languages
- Fluent Italian and English are required
