About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Tax Assistant Manager to join LemFi at an exciting stage of global expansion.
In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Tax and help drive strong, reliable tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will take ownership of key corporate tax activities, monitor international tax risk, and provide support across both direct and indirect tax matters.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to move in-house or continue developing within a lean, high-performing team. You will gain valuable international exposure across corporation tax, VAT, and employment taxes, while helping shape a scalable, world-class tax function.
What You’ll Be Doing
Global Tax Compliance
Own and coordinate end-to-end global corporation tax compliance processes
Act as the main point of contact for external tax advisers across jurisdictions
Help ensure filings and reporting obligations are completed accurately and on time
Permanent Establishment Risk Monitoring
Track and assess permanent establishment (PE) risks across global operations
Support compliance with local tax regulations as LemFi expands into new markets
Indirect Tax Support
Assist with VAT compliance and filings in multiple countries
Build knowledge through exposure to complex international tax scenarios
Process and Data Improvement
Partner with Finance to identify ways to:
streamline tax workflows
improve tax data accuracy
strengthen automation and reporting processes
Tax Advisory and Research
Conduct research on:
VAT implications in new markets
employment tax matters for a distributed global workforce
other emerging tax considerations tied to international growth
Cross-Functional Partnership
Work closely with:
Finance
Legal
People
Ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions and operational planning

What You’ll Bring
Required Experience and Qualifications
Experience working in a corporate tax environment
ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
Strong technical grounding in corporate tax
Technical Knowledge
Good understanding of UK corporate tax
Familiarity with IFRS
Exposure to international subsidiary structures
Adviser and Stakeholder Management
Experience working with external tax advisers
Confidence in coordinating responses, managing timelines, and ensuring follow-through
Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable
Exposure to:
U.S. tax reporting
VAT
employment taxes
Tools and Capabilities
Strong proficiency in Excel
Comfortable using financial systems and reporting tools
Motivated by learning, improving, and building within a scaling business
