About the Role
Tax Director
Lead BRDG’s U.S. Tax Practice from Anywhere
BRDG is a specialist U.S. tax consulting firm supporting ambitious startups, scaleups, and venture-backed businesses from Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and the UK as they expand into the United States.
We work with high-growth companies that need more than standard tax advice. Our approach is strategic, founder-focused, and highly tailored, helping clients navigate U.S. market entry, compliance, and cross-border tax complexity with confidence.
Led by a U.S. CPA with more than 14 years of experience, BRDG is built to bridge the gap between international tax strategies and U.S. tax obligations — delivering practical, commercially minded advice that supports growth.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a full-time Tax Director to join our fully remote team.
This is a senior leadership role for a technically strong and commercially minded tax professional who can lead BRDG’s tax practice while ensuring exceptional service delivery across a growing client portfolio.
You will play a central role in shaping the practice — overseeing team capacity, resource allocation, technical quality, and client outcomes — while working closely with the founders and wider team to support international businesses entering and operating in the U.S.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Practice Leadership
Lead and develop BRDG’s tax practice
Oversee staffing and resource planning to ensure efficient delivery
Maintain high technical standards across all engagements
Drive quality, consistency, and excellence in client service
Client Advisory & Delivery
Advise clients on U.S. tax structuring for market entry and growth
Design and implement transfer pricing strategies
Support corporation tax and sales tax compliance
Conduct multi-state tax nexus studies
Provide expert guidance on U.S. tax law and cross-border considerations
Manage multiple client accounts while maintaining a high standard of delivery
Relationship Management & Collaboration
Build trusted client relationships with founders and leadership teams
Partner closely with BRDG’s founders and internal team
Contribute to strategic problem-solving for complex international tax matters
Support a founder-first experience that is practical, responsive, and high impact
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident, experienced tax leader who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to guide clients and teams through fast-moving, high-growth environments.
Essential Experience & Skills
Expert knowledge of U.S. tax compliance
Strong experience in cross-border U.S. tax advisory
Extensive experience advising startups and scaleups on U.S. expansion
Excellent grounding in accounting and financial reporting
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities
CPA qualification or an equivalent professional certification
Advanced experience with:
Cross-border repatriation strategies
Complex tax scenarios
Transfer pricing guidelines
Why This Role Stands Out
This is an opportunity to join a specialist firm working at the intersection of international growth, founder advisory, and U.S. tax strategy.
You’ll have the chance to take ownership of a key leadership function, work with exciting global businesses, and help shape how BRDG delivers best-in-class tax advisory services to companies entering one of the world’s most important markets.

Please note: candidates must already have the legal right to work in their current location. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Join BRDG
If you are a senior U.S. tax professional who thrives in a remote, high-calibre, international environment — and you’re excited by the opportunity to lead, advise, and make a tangible impact — we’d love to hear from you.
