About the Role

Director – Corporate Tax Advisory, Reporting & Audit

KPMG UK | Tax & Law | London | Permanent | Full Time

Join KPMG UK in a senior leadership opportunity within our London Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance (CTAC) practice, with a particular focus on tax reporting and audit. Based in our Canary Wharf / CSQ office, this role offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of UK-headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a wide range of sectors.

At KPMG, our values shape everything we do. We believe our greatest strength lies in our people — their varied experiences, perspectives and backgrounds. Through our commitment to inclusion, diversity and social equality, we are continuing to transform who we are and how we work. This is your opportunity to be part of that journey.

About the Team

This position sits within the London Region CTAC AARTS team — our specialist Audit and Accounting Related Tax Services function. The team supports clients with their annual and interim tax reporting obligations, helping them manage tax provisioning requirements while also working alongside specialists on related tax advisory and BEPS Pillar Two matters.

In addition to supporting clients through their annual compliance cycle, the successful candidate may also take a leading role in transformation initiatives and BEPS Pillar Two provisioning projects.

Our team operates in a hybrid working model, coming together in the office or at client sites at least twice a week to collaborate, share ideas and learn from one another, while offering flexibility for the remainder of the week.

The Opportunity

As a Director, you will play a highly visible, market-facing role, helping to drive the growth of the AARTS offering across the London region and the wider national practice. You will be expected to build trusted client relationships, inspire and develop junior colleagues, maintain exceptional standards of delivery, and identify new business opportunities that translate into tangible wins.

This role is ideal for a senior tax professional with a strong profile in the market, a deep technical grounding in tax accounting, and the commercial instinct to convert opportunities into long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a market-facing leader for allocated clients and target organisations, especially within the fast-growth technology and entrepreneurial sectors.

  • Drive new client acquisition activity in collaboration with wider tax and non-tax teams across the firm.

  • Manage and monitor target activities, pipeline development and wider business development initiatives.

  • Work closely with client service teams and colleagues across tax disciplines to deliver a coordinated, high-quality service.

  • Oversee tax compliance delivery, ensuring clients receive efficient, commercially focused support.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional work and broader collaboration.

  • Keep clients informed of developments in the corporate tax landscape that may impact their business.

  • Engage confidently with market stakeholders, introducing relevant KPMG specialists where appropriate.

  • Lead by example in client service, technical excellence and quality of delivery.

  • Raise the profile of the team and your personal network internally, supporting collaboration and generating internal referrals.

  • Contribute to proposals and business development activity, including representing KPMG at networking events both internally and externally.

  • Manage engagement quality, risk processes and client financials with rigour and professionalism.

  • Champion KPMG’s values and serve as a visible role model across the business.

  • Lead, coach and develop teams, creating an environment where people can thrive and grow.
