We are now seeking a Manager to join our Family Office & Private Client (FO&PC) Tax Compliance team in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly respected national practice, supporting a diverse and sophisticated private client portfolio while developing your career in a collaborative and ambitious environment.

The Opportunity

This position is primarily focused on tax compliance, with responsibility for managing client relationships and delivering a consistently high standard of service. You will oversee a portfolio that includes private individuals, entrepreneurial clients, trusts, and related structures, ensuring all compliance obligations are handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Manager within the FO&PC Tax Compliance team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of private clients, including high net worth individuals, trusts, and entrepreneurial clients

  • Delivering high-quality compliance services across a broad range of personal tax matters

  • Reviewing complex tax returns and ensuring accuracy and completeness

  • Preparing and reviewing capital gains tax calculations

  • Reviewing land and property accounts

  • Handling complex residence and remittance matters

  • Preparing and reviewing trust accounts and tax returns

  • Preparing and reviewing inheritance tax returns for:

  • trust entry charges

  • exit charges

  • ten-year charges

  • Identifying advisory opportunities within your client portfolio

  • Overseeing the compliance process, ensuring deadlines are met and risks are appropriately managed

  • Developing and maintaining best practice procedures

  • Managing work in progress, billing, and cash collection effectively


What We’re Looking For

We are interested in speaking with motivated and capable professionals who bring strong technical expertise, excellent client service, and a proactive mindset.

Key skills and experience:

  • Qualified tax adviser or accountant with relevant experience in a personal tax-focused environment

  • Examples include: ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA

  • Experience working with private clients and trusts

  • Exposure to a varied and complex client base

  • Strong academic track record and a clear understanding of the challenges facing private clients

  • Ability to work:
