Tax Manager - Personal Team

The firm provides accounting, audit, tax, corporate finance, digital solutions, payroll and financial planning services to businesses, public sector organisations and private individuals, combining day-to-day compliance support with strategic advice. This Tax Manager role sits within Affinia’s growing tax department and focuses on managing a substantial portfolio of individuals and unincorporated businesses. The successful candidate will oversee the full personal tax compliance cycle, review complex work, advise clients on their tax positions, ensure submissions to HMRC are completed accurately, and identify planning opportunities that can be developed into higher-value advisory assignments. The role also carries significant leadership and commercial responsibility. The Tax Manager will mentor junior team members, support internal technical training, collaborate across offices to improve compliance processes and technology use, and work closely with senior leaders on ad hoc advisory projects, fee quotes and strategic delivery. Building trusted client relationships, leading meetings and contributing to business development are key parts of the position. Affinia is seeking someone with strong personal tax technical knowledge, advisory experience and ideally a CTA qualification. The firm wants an autonomous leader who can manage a varied portfolio, spot opportunities for growth and help drive profitability through close monitoring of KPIs such as WIP, billing and debtors.
