About the Role
Transaction Tax Manager
Cooper Parry
If you thrive on fast-moving deals, complex tax challenges, and supporting clients through pivotal moments, this opportunity at Cooper Parry could be your ideal next step.
We’re looking for an experienced Transaction Tax Manager to join a high-growth team that is redefining the way tax advice is delivered — bringing clarity, confidence, and creativity to the often demanding world of transactions.
Why Join Cooper Parry?
At Cooper Parry, we do things differently. Known as the “rebels of accountancy”, we’re bold in our thinking, honest in our approach, and committed to putting people and relationships first.
Our teams work in a way that cuts through complexity, removes unnecessary red tape, and keeps clients at the centre of everything we do. If you want to be part of a business that is growing rapidly and making a real mark in the market, this is the place to do it.
The Opportunity
As a Transaction Tax Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting private equity houses, investors, and ambitious businesses as they structure, acquire, sell, and scale.
You’ll be trusted to take ownership of projects, work closely with senior leaders on larger and more intricate deals, and become a valued adviser to clients navigating important business decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading transaction tax projects across due diligence, structuring, and advisory work
Managing bolt-on and standard due diligence assignments independently
Supporting more complex transactions in collaboration with senior leadership
Acting as a key client contact, responding to questions, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities
Reviewing and improving the quality of work produced by junior team members
Coaching and mentoring colleagues to help them build confidence and capability
Contributing ideas to improve delivery, processes, tools, and ways of working
Helping shape the team’s future as the function continues to grow at pace
What We’re Looking For
You’re commercially aware, technically strong, and energised by the pace and intensity of transaction work. You enjoy solving problems, managing multiple moving parts, and helping clients make informed decisions under pressure.
You’re also ready to take the next step in your career — not just leading projects, but helping shape a high-performing team with a strong future ahead.
You’ll Ideally Bring:
ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification
Strong technical expertise in UK tax legislation and its practical application
Experience in transaction tax, including due diligence and structuring work
The ability to communicate clearly, translating complex tax matters into practical advice
A proactive and calm approach when working under pressure
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deals effectively
A collaborative mindset, with a genuine interest in coaching and team development
An enthusiasm for technology, innovation, and transformation
