About the Role

Transaction Tax Leadership Opportunity | Cooper Parry

Are you the kind of tax adviser who knows that exceptional deal advice goes far beyond compliance? At Cooper Parry, this is your chance to play a leading role in high-impact transactions, helping investors, entrepreneurs and management teams navigate pivotal moments with confidence and clarity.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing Transaction Tax team where your expertise will shape outcomes, influence strategy and help define what best-in-class advisory looks like.

Why This Role Matters

In this role, you’ll sit at the heart of complex deals, delivering commercially focused tax advice that makes a real difference. You’ll lead from the front on transactions, strengthen key client relationships and help grow a team known for excellence, ambition and energy.

If you enjoy combining technical depth with strategic thinking, leadership and client impact, this could be the ideal next step.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a senior member of the Transaction Tax team, you will:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary deal teams across tax due diligence, structuring and advisory engagements

  • Advise private equity and corporate clients on a wide range of M&A transactions

  • Act as a trusted adviser during negotiations, offering clear, composed and commercially grounded guidance

  • Build and develop relationships with private equity houses, corporates and management teams across the UK mid-market

  • Support the strategic evolution of the team, helping shape propositions, delivery methods and go-to-market approaches

  • Coach and mentor managers and junior colleagues, strengthening technical capability and confidence across the team

  • Work closely with Corporate Finance and Transaction Services colleagues to create a seamless and high-quality client experience

What We’re Looking For

You’re someone who combines sharp technical knowledge with strong commercial instinct. You can see the bigger picture, guide clients through complexity and build trusted relationships at senior level.

You’ll likely bring:

  • ACA, ACCA or CTA qualification, or equivalent relevant experience

  • Significant experience leading tax work on M&A transactions

  • Exposure to private equity-backed deals, ideally within the mid-market

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to advise and challenge senior stakeholders

  • A genuine interest in developing people and creating a culture built on trust, support and high standards

  • The drive to help transform professional services

  • Curiosity, enthusiasm and personality — because great deals don’t need to be dull
