KPMG is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager to join its growing Global Mobility Services (GMS) Tax team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior global mobility tax professional who is ready to lead major client relationships, shape strategic solutions, and help drive the continued growth of a high-performing practice.
As part of KPMG’s People Taxes practice, the GMS team is experiencing strong momentum and expanding opportunities. In this role, you will work with multinational organisations on complex mobility challenges, advise on cross-border tax matters, and support the development of innovative client solutions in an evolving international landscape.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will combine technical excellence, strategic leadership, and strong client relationship management to deliver meaningful results.
Core Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of key corporate clients, acting as a senior point of contact on global mobility tax matters.
Provide specialist technical advice on complex international mobility issues, including assignment structuring and cross-border working arrangements.
Lead client engagements from planning through to delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and risk management throughout.
Build and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor to multinational businesses.
Drive business development activity, identifying opportunities for growth, contributing to proposals, and supporting the development of new services.
Lead, coach, and develop team members, creating an environment that supports performance, collaboration, and progression.
Oversee operational excellence, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and in line with internal governance requirements.
Support innovation and technology adoption across the GMS offering, helping clients benefit from digital solutions and streamlined processes.

You will:
Advise multinational clients on the tax implications of global mobility programmes and workforce movement.
Guide businesses through complex international tax issues, helping them manage risk while supporting talent mobility.
Shape solutions for senior executives, including tax-efficient packages and assignment structures.
Provide insight on cross-border working models, including treaty interpretation, economic employer considerations, payroll implications, and remote work challenges.
Contribute to the future growth of the GMS team through leadership, mentoring, and commercial input.

What We’re Looking For
Experience
Significant experience delivering expert advice on global mobility tax matters.
Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing people effectively.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior executives and buyers of GMS services.
Track record of supporting business development efforts and achieving sales or growth targets.
Relevant professional qualifications such as ATT or CTA.
Technical Expertise
Strong expertise in:
Complex residency analysis
Executive assignment structuring
Tax-efficient reward and mobility packages
Ability to advise senior stakeholders clearly on risks, regulatory developments, and practical implications.
Experience leading HMRC disclosures, including:
PAYE
Self Assessment
Ability to manage and oversee multi-jurisdictional advisory projects, turning technical detail into practical and accessible conclusions.
In-depth understanding of UK tax issues affecting:
Business travellers
Non-resident directors
Remote workers
Cross-border employees
Strong working knowledge of:
Double tax treaties
Economic employer rules
The 60-day rule
Payroll implications
Dual-contract and commuter arrangements
Good knowledge of related areas such as:
International pensions
Deferred compensation
