About the Role

As part of the Tax Technology function, you will work closely with both the Tax Technology team and Tax service line subject matter experts to identify and deliver opportunities for business process automation through the use of enhanced technologies.

Reporting to the Tax Technology Manager, you will help shape future-focused ways of working by supporting the definition of target business processes, creating user stories, and enabling greater adoption of automation and AI solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bridging the gap between business needs and technology delivery, while helping teams adopt new tools, processes, and organisational changes that unlock measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will play an important part in delivering technology-driven business improvements across the Tax function.

• Identify automation opportunities by working with Tax Technology specialists and Tax SMEs to improve business processes through technology.

• Support business case development for a range of technology solutions in collaboration with Tax Technology leadership and service line teams.

• Enable AI and automation adoption by assisting with the rollout of solutions driven by project requirements.

• Contribute to business change initiatives linked to automation, including process improvements and organisational adjustments needed to achieve benefits.

• Define future-state processes and support the creation of user stories that guide delivery teams toward effective solutions.

• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and the wider Tax Technology team to ensure alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Participate in functional and user testing, ensuring business requirements are clearly reflected in testing scenarios and that final solutions meet user needs.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Experience in Tax Technology-enabled business change projects or related workstreams.

• Knowledge of tax compliance processes and how technology can support them.

• Experience using data analytics tools to gather, review, and analyse business requirements, KPIs, and performance metrics.

• Customer journey mapping expertise, with the ability to translate insights into wireframes and user stories within an agile development environment.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple business areas.

• Experience working with UX design teams or agencies.

• Excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to following established processes.

• Commercial awareness and an understanding of how change initiatives drive business value.
