What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will take the lead in advising and supporting clients through complex transformation initiatives, while also helping develop PwC’s strategic indirect tax technology offering.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with leading clients across a broad range of sectors, including listed businesses and inbound organisations

• Leading project delivery in close collaboration with partners and wider engagement teams

• Mentoring and developing junior colleagues, helping to build capability and maintain exceptional service standards

• Managing end-to-end technology implementations, from design through to deployment and go-live

• Collaborating with client teams and system integrators to deliver successful global and local programmes

• Identifying technology-enabled improvements across tax processes, with a primary focus on indirect tax

• Assessing integration points and risks across broader tax and finance functions

• Driving transformation initiatives that improve compliance, governance, and operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an accomplished professional with strong leadership capability, technical depth, and experience delivering large-scale transformation programmes.

You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you have:

• Deep technical expertise in indirect tax

• Significant experience in indirect tax transformation, including:

• determination engines

• compliance solutions

• e-invoicing technologies

• A strong understanding of tax and finance processes

• Proven experience leading process redesign initiatives

• Project and programme management experience on complex engagements

• A successful track record delivering large-scale, multi-workstream projects across:

• multiple taxes

• multiple territories

• multiple stakeholder groups

• Knowledge of the wider tax digitisation agenda, including:

• digital tax transformation

• AI

• Agentic AI

• Experience with tax control frameworks, including:

• governance

• taxonomy definition

• implementation
