The Opportunity
As a Senior Manager in Corporate Tax, you will play a key role in leading client relationships, delivering complex advisory work, and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice.
You will be trusted to combine technical excellence with commercial insight, helping clients navigate increasingly complex tax matters while also supporting the development of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Advisory
Build and sustain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor on strategic tax matters
Deliver commercially focused tax advice that supports clients’ long-term growth and business objectives
Lead the delivery of both compliance services and strategic tax advisory work across a diverse client portfolio
Technical Delivery
Oversee and manage technically complex tax projects, including:
Tax structuring
Refinancing
Legal structure optimisation
Pre- and post-transaction reorganisations
BEPS Pillar 2 assessment and implementation
Tax authority enquiries
Complex technical support across the broader corporate tax team, including areas such as hybrid mismatches
Help clients respond to a changing global tax landscape with innovative, practical solutions
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, inspire, and support team members in delivering high-quality work
Act as a mentor to developing tax professionals, helping to grow technical capability and career confidence
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive team culture aligned with KPMG’s values
Contribute to effective resource planning, team performance, and operational excellence
Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities that create long-term value for both clients and KPMG
Work closely with Directors and Partners on market-facing growth initiatives
Lead and manage proposals for new work, including:
Preparing compelling tender submissions
Presenting at client pitches
Developing innovative responses to client challenges
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with specialists across other business areas and overseas offices
Coordinate multidisciplinary input into broader tax advisory engagements
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a commercially minded and technically strong tax professional who combines leadership capability with a proactive approach to client service and business growth.
Qualifications
- ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification
Skills & Experience
Strong and proven corporate tax technical expertise
A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving tax developments
Experience leading, developing, and coaching teams
Confidence managing client relationships and engaging with senior stakeholders
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical thinking and a pragmatic, commercially focused approach to problem-solving
A high level of attention to detail and intellectual curiosity
Ability to manage multiple projects and client demands at the same time
Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
Demonstrated ability to spot and progress business development opportunities
