About the Role

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting Ford’s UK tax activities, ensuring compliance and assisting with tax advisory matters. You will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities, making this a strong opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their technical expertise while developing strong stakeholder relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting UK corporation tax computations and returns

  • Supporting tax accounting and provisioning for both US GAAP and UK statutory reporting

  • Assisting with UK R&D tax credit claims

  • Managing interactions with HMRC and supporting tax authority matters in the UK

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Tax, Finance, and the wider business

  • Supporting transfer pricing analyses and documentation

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to digital transformation initiatives within the Tax function

  • Providing tax support on ad-hoc projects and regional initiatives, including work with European tax teams

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should bring a combination of technical tax knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) and/or Chartered Tax Advisor

  • 0–3 years post-qualified experience (PQE)

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax

  • Experience gained in either professional practice or an in-house tax function

  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and perform well under time pressure

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good general systems capability

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using Alphatax

  • Exposure to US GAAP

  • Knowledge of UK employment tax and/or benefits taxation

Why Join Ford?

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a globally recognised organisation where tax is a strategic and evolving function. You will gain valuable exposure across multiple tax disciplines, work with experienced professionals across the UK and Europe, and contribute to meaningful transformation initiatives that shape the future of the function.

If you are looking for a role that combines technical challenge, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to drive improvement, this could be an excellent next step in your career.

Location & Working Pattern

This position is based in Dunton. The successful candidate will typically be expected to attend the Dunton office 4 days per week and should be flexible regarding office attendance in line with business requirements.
