The Opportunity

KPMG’s Global Compliance & Transformation (GCT) team is looking for experienced Senior Managers to help multinational organisations and financial services clients navigate complex global tax, reporting, and statutory accounting requirements.

In this role, you will support clients through a combination of outsourcing, co-sourcing, transformation, and technology-led solutions, helping them build more efficient, controlled, and future-ready compliance operating models.

What You’ll Bring

We are particularly interested in candidates with deep expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Tax and/or accounting compliance and reporting

  • VAT compliance and VAT process management

  • Transfer pricing compliance and/or advisory

We are also seeking professionals with experience in:

  • Engagement management

  • Tax governance and controls

  • Transformation, transition, and project management

  • Client relationship management

  • Developing standardised methodologies

  • Tax compliance process improvement and redesign

  • Advising on technology solutions to support compliance and reporting


Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager within Managed Services, you will play a leading role in both delivery and growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and project managing the delivery of global and large UK tax and accounting compliance and reporting managed service projects

  • Driving implementation of managed service and transformation solutions across client business units

  • Overseeing technology deployment that supports efficient, scalable managed service delivery

  • Establishing strong governance frameworks and resolving issues effectively across international engagements

  • Acting as the central point of contact for international clients and KPMG overseas teams

  • Supporting business development, from progressing leads through to contract negotiation and agreement

  • Identifying and developing transformation opportunities, including:

  • Process redesign

  • Centres of Excellence

  • Upskilling initiatives

  • Technology-enabled improvement

  • Contributing to the development of service offerings and delivery models

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients

  • Line managing managers and assistant managers, while overseeing offshore delivery teams

  • Spotting opportunities for additional client services and collaborating with specialists where needed

  • Providing coaching, leadership, and technical support to wider team members

  • Ensuring all work is delivered in line with KPMG best practice and policy


What Success Looks Like

To thrive in this role, you will bring a combination of technical knowledge, leadership capability, and commercial awareness. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Strong project management and coordination experience

    For example, experience across global compliance outsourcing engagements, tax/accounting transformation programmes, or similar complex projects.

  • Experience in process, risk, and controls design

  • Proven capability in transition, change management, and stakeholder management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    You will be confident communicating with impact in a way that is clear, open, consistent, and professional.

  • Good awareness of technology and automation to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and create value

  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability

    You take responsibility for outcomes, maintain high standards, and lead with energy and positivity under pressure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    You can identify root causes, evaluate information, and turn insight into action.

  • A commitment to enhancing the reputation of KPMG through the quality of your work and expertise

  • Experience in tax and accounting compliance processes, such as:

  • Direct tax returns

  • Indirect tax returns

  • Statutory accounting

  • Transfer pricing

  • Tax reporting
