Joining KPMG’s Indirect Tax practice means becoming part of one of the UK’s leading specialist teams. The practice advises clients across VAT, Customs Duty, and Green Taxes, supporting organisations in sectors such as retail, public sector, supply chain, and international trade.


About the Team

KPMG’s Indirect Tax team is a fast-growing, high-performing national practice made up of approximately 20 partners and 200 professionals across the UK.

The team works collaboratively across disciplines, bringing together specialists in:

  • Retail

  • Supply Chain

  • International Trade

  • Public Sector

  • Trade & Customs

  • Corporate Tax

  • Employment Tax

This integrated approach helps deliver commercially relevant, technically robust solutions to a broad and diverse client base.


The Opportunity

As an Indirect Tax Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality advice, strengthening client relationships, and helping shape innovative solutions for clients navigating evolving indirect tax issues.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the practice by supporting new capabilities in areas such as E-invoicing and Alteryx-based data management.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the development of KPMG’s capabilities in E-invoicing and Alteryx for tax data management

  • Deliver high-quality indirect tax advisory services across a broad range of client issues

  • Build and manage strong client relationships with corporate organisations across multiple sectors

  • Contribute to innovative client solutions and identify opportunities to add value

  • Support business development activity and help implement growth initiatives

  • Provide sales support while developing and maintaining key B2B and B2C relationships

  • Coach and develop junior team members in both technical knowledge and commercial awareness

  • Work closely with Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners to support your own progression and career development
