About the Role
Azets is a leading firm of accountants and business advisers operating across the UK, Ireland and the Nordics. As a Personal Tax Assistant Manager, you would oversee the preparation and review of personal tax returns, manage junior staff, and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations within a newly formed collaborative team.
The role focuses on reviewing tax computations, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, and using technology, automation, and digital tools to improve accuracy and service delivery. The aim is to provide smarter, more personalised tax services while supporting the firm’s reputation for high-quality client work.
Day to day, you would lead and develop team members, monitor performance against KPIs, carry out quality reviews, handle escalations, and ensure compliance with technical, quality, and risk frameworks. You would also act as a secondary client contact, help resolve complex issues, and identify advisory opportunities that can support wider business growth.
Azets is looking for someone with an accountancy and/or tax qualification, or equivalent experience, such as ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or CA. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge, confidence in training others, and the ability to contribute to bid and pricing proposals for non-complex work.
