About the Team

The KPMG Alternatives team delivers high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to clients across the Alternative Investment Fund market. The team supports a broad range of funds and investment structures, including:

- **Private equity funds** - **Hedge funds** - **Credit funds** - **Real estate funds**

As the practice continues to expand, KPMG is looking for exceptional professionals who can contribute to its continued success. This role is particularly suited to candidates with experience in alternative investment fund taxation, whether gained in professional services or within an in-house tax function at an alternative investment fund.


What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the team, taking ownership of client delivery, technical excellence, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of tax advice on a broad range of UK and international tax matters affecting the Alternative Investment Fund sector
  • Oversee the full corporation tax and partnership tax process, managing it from start to finish
  • Manage, coach, and support team members, providing guidance on both technical matters and professional development
  • Run client meetings and calls independently, building confidence and trust with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of clients, establishing strong long-term relationships as a trusted adviser
  • Collaborate across teams and geographies, working closely with colleagues in the UK Alternatives team and KPMG offices globally
  • Adapt your communication and leadership style to suit different stakeholders and achieve the best outcomes
  • Drive business development activity, identifying opportunities and helping grow the practice

Skills & Experience Required

  • Professional qualification as a:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA or ACA)
  • Chartered Tax Advisor
  • Solicitor
  • Or an international equivalent
  • A clear motivation to be part of a fast-growing, high-performing Alternatives tax team
  • A positive and proactive approach to personal development
  • Proven experience in leading the delivery of high-quality tax advisory and compliance services for Alternative Investment Fund clients
  • Strong ability to provide day-to-day leadership to delivery teams, including:
  • Managing competing deadlines
  • Supporting team performance under pressure
  • Communicating clearly with colleagues and clients
  • A strong working knowledge of UK tax, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear, concise, and practical way—both verbally and in writing
