About the Role

Senior Associate – Transfer Pricing

PwC UK

PwC UK is seeking a Senior Associate to join its growing Transfer Pricing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and commercially aware professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys taking ownership, and is confident managing multiple projects at once.

You will become part of a specialist network that advises clients on a wide range of UK and international transfer pricing matters. From policy design and documentation to audit defence and the tax implications of business transformation, this role offers broad exposure and meaningful impact.

About the Opportunity

As demand for the team’s specialist expertise continues to increase, we are looking for someone who can bring energy, technical strength, and a proactive mindset to a dynamic advisory environment.

This position is ideal for an individual who is comfortable working across different teams and engagements simultaneously, while delivering high-quality outcomes for clients in a professional and commercially focused way.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will work closely with clients and colleagues across the UK and PwC’s global network, supporting a wide variety of transfer pricing engagements.

  • Act as a subject matter specialist within the Deals Tax practice.
  • Deliver transfer pricing planning and support pricing implementation projects.
  • Coordinate European and global transfer pricing engagements in collaboration with international specialists across the PwC network.
  • Support businesses through transformation and change, including:
    • Changes to manufacturing footprints
    • Supply chain reorganisations
    • IP planning initiatives
    • Transfers of manufacturing to lower-cost jurisdictions
    • Implementation of Swiss principal structures
  • Advise on intercompany financing arrangements, such as:
    • Long-term debt pricing
    • Cash pooling structures
    • Other cross-border financing transactions

What the Team Specialises In

The Transfer Pricing network advises clients on all key areas of the UK and international transfer pricing framework. This includes technical, strategic, and practical support across complex tax and business matters.

  • Arm’s length comparables and benchmarking analysis
  • Transfer pricing policy design and formulation
  • Documentation preparation and compliance support
  • Tax audit defence and controversy management
  • Advanced Pricing Agreements (APAs)
  • Assessment of tax implications arising from commercial and operational change

Who We’re Looking For

This role would suit an experienced and technically capable professional who can combine strong analytical thinking with excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA), Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT/CTA), legal professional, or equivalent international qualification.
  • Alternatively, you may bring equivalent relevant work experience, including international experience gained in your home market.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality client work while understanding business needs and relevant professional standards.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop networks internally and externally, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Confident communicator, with experience influencing, negotiating, and collaborating effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and report writing skills.
  • Curious and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
  • Able to apply tax technical knowledge in a fast-moving commercial environment.
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality.

Why Join PwC UK?

PwC offers an environment where your expertise is valued, your development is supported, and your contribution is recognised. Whether you are focused on career progression, flexibility, wellbeing, or making a broader impact, the benefits package is designed to support you at every stage.

  • Empowered flexibility with time split between the office, home, and client site
  • Private medical cover
  • 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP
  • Six volunteering days each year
  • A broader range of benefits designed to support both your professional and personal life

Why This Role Stands Out

This is more than a technical tax role. It is an opportunity to work at the centre of complex international business decisions, helping clients navigate change, manage risk, and structure their operations effectively across borders.

If you are looking for a role where you can build deep specialist expertise, work with global teams, and take on meaningful responsibility in a collaborative environment, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
