The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join Jazz’s in-house tax team in a key role supporting the company’s corporate income tax compliance, reporting, and provisioning activities across multiple territories.

The position has a particular emphasis on the UK and European jurisdictions and will suit a technically strong tax professional who enjoys hands-on responsibility, cross-functional collaboration, and operating across multiple reporting frameworks including US GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAP.


What You’ll Be Doing

1. Corporate Income Tax Compliance

You will take ownership of corporate income tax return processes across a number of jurisdictions, with a primary focus on Europe.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the full compliance lifecycle, including:

  • Data collection and review

  • Collaboration with local finance teams

  • Coordination with external tax advisers

  • Monitoring filing deadlines and payment obligations

  • Ensuring consistency of tax positions across jurisdictions and alignment with group tax policy

  • Supporting Pillar Two compliance, including:

  • Notifications

  • Returns

  • Payment administration

2. Tax Accounting and Provisioning

You will play a central role in quarterly and annual tax reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.

Key activities include:

  • Preparing quarterly tax provision workpapers under US GAAP (ASC 740), covering:

  • Current tax calculations

  • Deferred tax calculations

  • Uncertain tax positions (UTPs)

  • Effective tax rate analysis

  • True-ups and variance analysis

  • Preparing annual tax provisions under IFRS

  • Reconciling US GAAP and IFRS tax positions where required

  • Maintaining audit-ready documentation and SOX controls

  • Supporting external auditors through the review of tax provisions

3. Statutory Accounts and Tax Disclosures

You will support the preparation and review of tax-related disclosures across group entities and work closely with finance and audit stakeholders.

This includes responsibility for:

  • Current and deferred tax disclosures

  • Effective tax rate reconciliations

  • Judgment and estimation disclosures

  • Liaising with:

  • Local finance teams

  • External auditors

  • Other relevant internal stakeholders

  • Resolving technical tax accounting and disclosure queries

4. Projects and Continuous Improvement

In addition to recurring tax compliance and reporting activities, you will contribute to a range of strategic and operational tax initiatives.

These may include:

  • Reviewing and strengthening the company’s Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) framework

  • Working with the SAO and finance teams to:

  • Assess key tax controls and processes

  • Identify gaps

  • Support remediation and improvements

  • Prepare documentation and evidence for annual SAO certification

  • Contributing to ad hoc corporate tax projects, such as:

  • Business changes

  • Restructurings

  • Integrations

  • Tax law developments

  • Process enhancement initiatives

  • Automation of tax reporting activities

  • Driving continuous improvement in a lean and evolving environment


What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

We are seeking a tax professional with strong technical expertise and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.

You should bring:

  • A strong background in corporate income tax

  • Relevant post-qualified experience (PQE), ideally gained in:

  • A multinational in-house tax team, or

  • A Big 4 / large professional services firm, with a move into industry

  • Proven experience in preparing or reviewing:

  • Corporate tax returns across multiple jurisdictions

  • Tax provisions under US GAAP

  • Tax accounting under IFRS

  • Confidence working in a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions

Desirable Experience

The following would be advantageous, though not essential:

  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated sector

  • Exposure to statutory audit processes and working directly with external auditors

  • Familiarity with SAP and Oracle TRCS for tax reporting and provisioning

  • Experience supporting process improvement or automation initiatives within tax reporting
