The Team: Global Corporate Tax

The Global Corporate Tax group is responsible for managing Franklin Resources, Inc.’s worldwide tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities. This team works closely with finance, accounting, and regional tax stakeholders to ensure accurate filings, strong governance, and effective tax management across jurisdictions.

As part of this group, you will gain exposure to a wide range of tax areas, including **U.S. federal, state, indirect, and international tax**, all within a global financial services environment.


What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will support a variety of tax compliance and reporting activities, with a particular focus on indirect and corporate tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare U.S. sales and use tax returns

  • Provide data to support indirect tax calculations across multiple countries

  • Compile quarterly sales and use tax information for external outsourcing partners

  • Review invoices, gather supporting data, and help ensure timely tax compliance filings

  • Track state tax rate changes and complete electronic filings before deadlines

  • Respond to sales and use tax audit-related queries

  • Prepare and/or review tax returns across:

  • U.S. federal

  • U.S. state

  • International jurisdictions

  • UK

  • Asia Pacific

  • Assist with tax accruals, provisions, and ad hoc tax projects

  • Take on additional responsibilities and assignments as directed by your supervisor


What Will Make You Successful

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional who brings technical tax knowledge, strong analytical ability, and the confidence to work both independently and collaboratively.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax

  • 3–4 years of tax or accounting experience

  • Prior exposure to U.S. corporate tax and international tax is highly preferred

  • Sound understanding of:

  • Tax accruals

  • Financial statements

  • Core accounting principles

Technical Skills

  • Experience with tax software such as OneSource RS or comparable tools

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Familiarity with tax and financial reporting systems

Professional Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment

  • Effective organization, time management, and prioritization skills

  • Willingness to stay current with changing procedures, rules, and regulatory requirements


Work Schedule

  • Shift Timings: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST
