The Opportunity
We are looking for an Employment Tax Associate Director to join our highly respected Employment Tax team within RSM UK.
This role offers the chance to become part of a nationally connected and forward-thinking team, working alongside specialists who are passionate about solving complex employment tax matters for a broad and dynamic client base.
You can be based in one of our national offices, including:
Birmingham
Leeds
London
Cambridge
Gatwick
Bristol
Guildford
Reading
Southampton
While these locations are preferred, we also welcome applications from candidates based near any of our UK offices as we continue to embrace a more nationally integrated way of working.
About Our National Employer Solutions Team
Our national employer solutions team is a progressive and collaborative group focused on three core specialisms:
Domestic Employment Tax
Global Employer Services
Share Plans and Reward
With a team of around 100 specialists across the UK, we deliver practical, commercially focused, and tailored support to clients facing increasingly complex workforce and employment tax challenges.
Our expertise helps organisations:
Navigate intricate employment tax issues
Address global workforce considerations
Design effective and strategic reward solutions
Strengthen compliance and operational efficiency
Align tax and people strategies with wider business goals

How You’ll Make an Impact
In this role, you will play an important leadership part in both client delivery and team development. You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise in a way that adds genuine value across the firm and to clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working collaboratively with a national team of 100 specialists, bringing insight and value to a wide-ranging client portfolio
Delivering practical, high-quality advice that helps raise standards across the employment tax landscape
Supporting clients on key matters such as:
Employment tax risk and governance
Off-payroll working
National Minimum Wage
Payrolling of benefits
And other complex employment tax matters
Advising a diverse range of organisations, including:
FTSE 100 businesses
Large overseas-parented subsidiaries
Private equity-backed firms
Founder-led and high-growth businesses
Using your experience to guide and develop team members, helping to foster a culture built on:

CTA qualification or equivalent, or be qualified by experience
Strong specialist expertise in Employment Tax
