We are always looking for smarter, more effective ways to work—using technology, simplifying complexity, and focusing on meaningful outcomes.

  • Relationship-led service

We build lasting client relationships based on trust, insight, and empathy.

The Role

As an Employment Tax Manager, you will play a central role in delivering both compliance and advisory support across a wide range of employment tax matters.

  • Support and manage HMRC enquiries, audits, reviews, investigations, and disputes.

  • Provide UK employment tax input into global mobility arrangements, including both inbound and outbound employees.

  • Deliver advice on share schemes, salary sacrifice arrangements, and employee reward strategies.

Project Delivery

  • Lead and manage employment tax projects such as due diligence, restructures, and transactions.

  • Identify tax risks and opportunities, offering practical, commercial, and value-driven recommendations to clients.

  • Work collaboratively with teams across corporate tax, VAT, People Solutions, Wealth Management, and payroll to deliver integrated advice.

Client Relationships & Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Act as a key point of contact on employment tax matters.

  • Contribute to business development activity, including networking, proposals, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Team Support & Leadership

  • Assist with the training and development of the wider tax team.

  • Share knowledge and help strengthen technical capability across the department.

Technical Excellence & Risk Management

  • Stay up to date with developments in employment tax legislation and HMRC guidance.

  • Contribute to internal technical updates and thought leadership.

  • Ensure work is delivered in line with internal risk and quality procedures.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a confident and commercially aware employment tax professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).

  • Significant experience in employment tax within an accountancy practice or consultancy.

  • Strong technical knowledge of UK employment tax legislation.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality advisory work.

  • Strong project management and organisational skills.

  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

  • A commercially minded, proactive approach.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
