The Opportunity
Adyen is looking for a Global Indirect Tax Manager to take full ownership of its global indirect tax structure and help shape the framework that supports the company’s continued international expansion.
This is a highly impactful role for someone who is proactive, practical, and energized by improvement. You will play a central role in reviewing, optimizing, automating, and scaling indirect tax processes across a fast-growing global business.
You will report to the Global Lead of Indirect Tax & Tax Transformation and join Adyen’s Amsterdam-based tax team, which includes specialists across:
Indirect Tax
Wage Tax
Tax Data & Technology
Transformation
International Tax
Transfer Pricing
In this role, you will collaborate closely with regional tax managers across EMEA, North America, LATAM, and APAC.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
As Global Indirect Tax Manager, you will lead strategic and operational indirect tax initiatives across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Owning Adyen’s global indirect tax strategy and structure, including special projects related to indirect tax matters
Assessing and refining the current indirect tax setup to ensure it supports ongoing growth and global expansion
Partnering with regional tax managers to align on global strategy and resolve complex indirect tax issues when needed
Supporting the indirect tax implications of new and existing products
Translating tax analysis into practical implementation
Reviewing and signing off on tax returns
Managing tax audits and related interactions with authorities
Identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, improve controls, and automate manual processes
Working cross-functionally with stakeholders across finance, product, country teams, account management, and tax authorities worldwide

Bring proven experience in an indirect tax role, ideally with international exposure across EMEA and/or APAC
