The Opportunity

At KPMG, our Tax professionals help clients manage their U.S. income tax reporting obligations across a range of sectors, including:
Insurance
Hedge funds
Private equity funds
Private clients
Our work also extends to important local and international regulatory frameworks, including:
Economic Substance
Pillar 2
VAT
AEOI (FATCA/CRS)
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the tax partners and senior management team, the successful candidate will play an important role in both tax compliance delivery and team supervision.
Your responsibilities will include:
Participating in and supervising the preparation of U.S. income tax returns
Supporting clients in the asset management and insurance sectors, including captive insurance and reinsurance
Preparing U.S. federal, state, and international tax disclosures and forms
Managing compliance work involving forms such as:
Form 1120
Form 1120-PC
Form 1065
Form 8621
Forms 8865 / 8858
Form 5471
Providing oversight, guidance, and support to tax staff
Working closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality service to clients in a fast-paced environment
What We’re Looking For
We are interested in candidates who bring strong technical tax capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative professional setting.
Required Experience & Skills
At least 2 years of experience in U.S. taxation
A solid understanding of U.S. federal income tax return preparation
Exposure to one or more of the following areas:
Asset management / partnerships
Property and casualty insurance
U.S. international taxation
U.S. state taxation
Corporate taxation
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines
Flexibility to work overtime when required
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or EA designation preferred, or eligibility to sit for the relevant exams
A Master’s in Taxation will also be considered favorably
