About the Team

The Private Client Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) team focuses on advising wealthy individuals and their businesses operating in the Alternative Investment Fund space.

Working across both PwC’s Private Client Network and AIF Network, the team collaborates extensively to provide a joined-up, end-to-end service tailored to client needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will contribute to a broad range of technically challenging and relationship-driven client work. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of client engagements, ensuring work is delivered effectively and to a high standard

  • Supporting and delegating to junior team members, particularly Associates, while involving Managers, Senior Managers, and Directors where appropriate

  • Advising a diverse client base, including:

  • International high net worth individuals

  • Private equity funds

  • Fund executives

  • Preparing tax advice for both clients and internal stakeholders on current and emerging technical issues

  • Delivering or contributing to presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions, including sessions involving senior client management

  • Maintaining strong US and UK tax awareness, keeping up to date with legislative and technical developments

  • Coaching and supervising Associates, offering regular feedback and supporting their ongoing development

  • Keeping senior stakeholders informed on progress, risks, and key updates across client engagements


What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with strong personal tax expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving professional environment.

Essential Experience and Knowledge

  • Detailed and current UK personal tax knowledge

  • Experience handling complex tax issues affecting:

  • Owners

  • Founders

  • Executives

  • Privately owned businesses

  • Family-owned businesses

Qualifications

  • You must hold one of the following:

  • CTA

  • ACA

  • ATT

  • Enrolled Agent qualification

  • An international equivalent qualification

  • Or equivalent relevant work experience

Applications are also welcomed from international candidates who have developed equivalent expertise through experience in their home country.

  • Overseeing tax return delivery

  • Managing written client deliverables

  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to act as a point of contact on complex engagements

  • Client contacts

  • PwC colleagues

  • Senior internal team members

  • Strong organisational ability with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines across the year

  • Analytical and technical strength, with close attention to detail to ensure accurate calculations and compliance
